For audiophiles, discerning listeners and trend-conscious music fans: the new headphones collection from Sennheiser (copy)

With its expansive new range of earphones, Sennheiser is now making music on the move sound even better and look more stylish. Altogether the 22 new models, designed specifically for use with portable players, offer a first-class audio experience and the Sennheiser quality you have come to expect. Every set of headphones is in itself a warranted fashion accessory, each with a distinct design.

High-resolution sound for audiophiles
For music lovers who value outstanding audio quality in a fashionable package, Sennheiser is introducing a collection of three new earphones. Their appeal lies in an ingenious and sophisticated design while a high-resolution and detailed sound reproduction ensures you enjoy a perfect music experience. Their elegant look is reinforced by high-quality metal and an excellent finish.

ear canal phone CX 980

The new earphones for audiophiles come in three different styles: the MX 980 is a classic earphone and promises a secure fit. The ear-canal phone CX 980 can be adjusted for a perfect fit by using different size ear adapters. Its snug position in the ear canal ensures an agreeable attenuation of external sounds. Individually adjustable ear clips mean that the OMX 980 not only fits firmly but is also very comfortable to wear.

flexible stereo jack and volume controlThe volume can be adjusted on all three models by means of a control integrated into the cable. For undisturbed music enjoyment, the cable can be attached directly to your clothing with a clip matching the design of the headphones. The flexible stereo jack is new and enables you to connect your headphones to all audio sources: either straight or right-angled. The flight adapter that comes with it offers the same flexibility and so never gets in the way when your headphones are connected to the on-board system. Delivery also includes a pouch for the headphones, clip and adapter.

The best stereo sound for discerning listeners
For those who appreciate a balanced stereo sound and melodious bass Sennheisers new range offers four models. Their appeal lies not just in excellent sound quality but also convinces through elegant technical design.

ear clip phone OCX 880

The MX 880 stereo earphones ensure you can enjoy your music on the go with a powerful bass thanks to high-performing loudspeaker systems. They are particularly practical as they allow the loudspeaker volume to be easily adjusted at any time using the control unit integrated into the cable. The CX 870 and CX 880 produce outstanding sound directly into the ear canal, guaranteeing a perfect fit and a good attenuation of ambient sounds. The CX 880 also features a volume control integrated in the cable. Its ergonomic design makes the OCX 880 an attractive option because they are at the same time ear-canal and ear-clip headphones: the flexible ear adapters mean that the headphones fit the ear canal perfectly while the soft, flexible ear clips can be individually adjusted for a perfect fit.

cable clip and carrying pouch

A small, metal clip which can be attached to clothing takes care of the cable, offering practicality while you listen to your music. The case that comes with it is an ideal size for transporting the headphones and accessories. Thought has even been given to the cable here: the carrying pouch has a practical device for coiling the cable so that it does not get tangled up when you put it away.

Listening pleasure for trend-conscious music fans
Sennheiser also has something for music fans who value highly up-to-date design: a selection of stereo earphones with a fresh look. The models have been designed with the preferences of the mobile generation in mind who do not want to miss out on great Sennheiser sound even when they are on the move.

ear canal phone CX 280

The MX 270, MX 370, MX 470 and the MX 580 are classic earphones that promise a full stereo sound with a powerful bass thanks to high-performance neodymium magnets. The CX 270 and CX 280 ear canal phones also offer a powerful audio on- the-move experience: the CX 270 has a powerful bass and the CX 280 a more balanced sound. The OMX 180 and MXL 570 score points for being particularly comfortable. Flexible ear clips mean the OMX 180 can be individually adjusted and the MXL 570 comes with a practical lanyard cord to go around your neck, allowing you to take your headphones out of your ears at any time without any risk of losing them. Your player can also be attached to the lanyard.

ear phone MX 581

These headphones are also particularly colourful: four of the models – the CX 271, CX 281, MX 471, MX 581 and OMX 181 – come in a trendy dark red and black. Fine gold decorative detailing makes the headphones really eye catching. These headphones, as well as the MX 271 and MX 371, are also specially designed for people with smaller ears.

share-adapter and carrying pouch

When the music is so good that it is best shared, the CX 281 and MX 581 are the right choice: both models have an adapter, to which a second set of headphones can be connected, offering music listeners double the fun. Almost all the models come with a carrying pouch which is large enough to store an MP3-Player as well as your headphones and accessories.

The new earphones will be despatched to Sennheiser distributors from January 2010.
