July 2012: Ric Shaw/Sennheiser Racing Team Purchase Mazda Mostorsport RX8-SP
Well-known racing car driver and rotary race car developer Ric Shaw, along with assistance from Michael Sloss from Sennheiser Australia are pleased to announce the purchase of one of two racing Mazda RX8-SP's delveloped by Mazda Motorsport Australia.
The Mazda Motorsport RX8-SP's running in the recent Tarmac Rally Series being; Targa Tasmania, Wrest Point and High Country. Whilst a win had yet to be achieved the results have continued to improve under the development and refinment of Mazda Motorsport Manager Alan Horsley.
Ric Shaw is delighted with the purchase of the car and the opportunity to continue the development of the RX8-SP from his workshop located in Five Dock, Sydney. Shaw has had over 30 years of experience under the hood working on both performance and racing rotaries; in addition considering his accomplished driving career he will be more than up to the task of taking the RX8-SP into a new era of racing.
Ric Shaw working with sponsor Sennheiser Australia, have had many great results running the Mazda RX7 in local and international circuit and tarmac events including The Australian Tarmac Rally Series, Bathurst 12hr and Nurnberg Ring 24hr races.
